My adventures in skiing this week have taken me to Stowe, VT and Sugarbush, VT. Without question, a perfect day on the slopes can only be paired with an excellent local brew. Rock Art Brewery has concocted this double IPA that did not live up to my Hopslam/Dogfish standards. While having decent aromas, great citrusy hop flavor, and a beautiful color, the Extreme (II)IPA has not integrated the high alcohol content very well.
Though enjoyable for some, I did not appreciate the balance and mouthfeel. Another example of this unbalanced taste can be found in the "Extreme" beers from Weyerbacher.
