Harpoon I.P.A.

So. I have been looking for Harpoon - Winter Warmer all week long. I went to three different grocery stores and called a variety of others in search of this gingerbread and nutmeg spiced gem.

After this quest, the Harpoon IPA is all I can claim as spoils. It pours a golden yellow into my Church Works Brewery pint glass with a quarter inch of vastly fleeting head. It is fairly light in flavor and mouthfeel for an IPA, but it goes down very smoothly (read. session beer). This is no Hopslam, but it does the trick for today.

Crisp. Slight Hop Finish. Slight Malt Balance.

  1. I.P.A. = "It's pretty awful"...so we just threw a whole bunch of crap in to hide that fact...

    zing...

and my hatred of hoppiness and IPA continues....

sad you couldnt find your warmer though...we should make a trip up to the beer cave...
