Five In Bluestone, WV

 

1. Charles Shaw - International Cabernet Sauvignon

This really is one of the best reds at Trader Joe's.

2. Rogue - Juniper Ale

Deceivingly light.  The juniper gives it a medicinal aroma, but not enough to make it taste like gin.  Very tasty.

3. Terripin - Pumpkinfest

This is a mix between a pumpkin beer and an Oktoberfest Marzen.  Very complex.  Interesting mix of citrus from the Marzen and the spice of a pumpkin. 

4. Lagunitas - Hop Stupid Ale
Amazing!  Best beer of the weekend.  Very floral.  Lots of lemon and grapefruit.  Extremely well balanced.

5. Weyerbacher - Imperial Pumpkin Ale.

Very nice nose.  Anse.  First taste of nutmeg and spice.  Gasoline finish.  We have not tried a single Weyerbacher that was well balanced.  One thumb down.
